There is a daily 45 minute flight from Islamabad to Skardu where you will fly over beautiful valleys, rivers and mountains and you can see

ROUTE-1

Hazara Motorway or M-15 Motorway is a 180 kilometre from Burhan to Thakot. After Thakot, Besham, Dassu, Chilas, Raikot Bridge, Jaglot. There are two routes to reach Skardu, one from Astore Chilam Deosai to Skardu but this route opens from June to September and another one is the main Skardu road going from Jaglot to Skardu. Don’t forget to fill up your gas tanks and carry snacks and water with you.

ROUTE-2 BABUSAR PASS

This pass opens in June, you will have to start the journey from the Motorway and follow the road to Abbottabad , Mansehra, Balakot, Khaghan, Naran to the Babusar Top . The route ascends steeply following the famous river Kunhar. Then, you will drive through the famous Babusar pass at a height of 14000 feet entering the Gilgit /Baltistan region. From Chilas turning right to the Karakorum Highway (KKH) you will en route towards Gilgit Baltistan. The route of the KKH traces one of the many paths of the ancient Silk Road. It is also known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. This is your choice you going to Skardu from Astore side or main Skardu road as mentioned in Route 1.
